The 10 Days brings you the best of a Uganda Safari and it’s climax is an encounter with Mountain gorillas in Bwindi impenetrable National Park. 10 Days Uganda Safari Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival and Evening Kampala City Tour

On arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be picked by a representative of Engabi Tours and Travel and you will be transferred to your hotel in Kampala for relaxation. Dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Transfer from Kampala to Murchison Falls National park

Today after breakfast you will set off with your guide driving to Murchison Falls National Park arriving in time for a visit to the top of Murchison falls the strongest waterfall and lunch at your lodge. Later in the afternoon, you will head out for an evening game drive and then dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Game Drive and River Nile Boat Cruise

A game drive early morning takes you through Murchison falls National Park along the Nile-Albert wetland to see elephants, buffaloes, Uganda kob, giraffes, lion, forest hogs and if you are luck a leopard. Return to the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, go on a boat cruise where you can relax seeing hippos, crocodiles, water birds and get a view of the devil’s caldron.

Day 4: Transfer to Kibale National Park

After breakfast, you will take a 5-6 hours transfer from Murchison to Kibale forest national park. The journey goes through Albertine rift valley landscape via Fort portal town where you stop for lunch en route. From there you drive around fort portal crater lakes before checking in at your lodge to rest for the next day’s chimp tracking. Diner and overnight.

Day 5: Chimpanzee tracking

Today you will wake up early for breakfast and thereafter transfer to the briefing point arriving at 07:30. After the briefing you will start the hike through the forest in search of the Chimpanzees and on finding them you will spend 1-hour observing them and taking photos. Along the hike you might see other primates like red colobus monkey, black and white colous monkey, and grey cheeked mangabay. Right after the encounter, you will embark on the transfer to Queen Elizabeth National park driving past the Rwenzori Mountains with impressive magical sights before arriving in Queen Elizabeth NP in the evening for relaxation, dinner and overnight

Day 6: Full Day in Queen Elizabeth National Park (Game drive and Boat Cruise)

Today you will wake up early for a morning game drive so as to spot the early risers such as the elusive leopards and spotted hyenas. The game drive also offers you possible views of lions, Buffaloes, elephants, waterbucks, spotted hyenas, Uganda Kobs among others. After the game drive return to the lodge for relaxation and lunch after which you head Mweya jetty for an afternoon boat trip along the Kazinga channel to have a likely close look at hippos and crocodiles. The banks of the channel are also home to many bird species that include the saddle billed stork, the pink-backed pelicans, the pied and malachite kingfishers among others. From the 2-hour activity, you can undertake a game drive along the channel track in the Mweya peninsular to spot more game before retiring for dinner and overnight.

Day 7: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

After an early morning breakfast, embark on your transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park via Ishaka-Kabale road arriving in Bwindi in the evening in time for check-in, relaxation, dinner and overnight

Day 8: Gorilla tracking and Pigmies Cultural experience

After an early Breakfast, you will be transferred to the Park headquarters for briefing about the gorilla trekking rules and regulations. You will be allocated a small group (usually of 8 people only) led by Uganda wildlife authority guide and armed rangers and you will head into the Bwindi jungle in search of the gorillas. On finding a Gorilla family, you will be allowed to spend 1 hour with them taking pictures and appreciating their way of life. Return back to the lodge for refreshing and the go for a cultural experience in the pigmies’ community. Dinner and Overnight at the lodge

 Day 9: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park and Horse Safari

After breakfast, you will transfer to Lake Mburo National Park arriving in time for Lunch and check in. Late in the afternoon at 4:00Pm you will embark on a Horse Safari inside the park up to 6:30Pm. You will then return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 10: Morning Walking Safari and Transfer to Entebbe

After breakfast you will be met by a Uganda Wildlife Authority Ranger Guide who will take you through briefing and later embark on a safari walk on foot. You will get an opportunity to see what you could have seen on any game drive except that this time round you will do it on foot. Check out of the lodge and transfer to Entebbe with lunch en-route arriving in time for the flight back home marking the end of your Safari Tour in Uganda
