3 Days Rwanda Gorilla Tour Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer to Volcanoes National Park
On arrival at Kigali International Airport or from your hotel in Kigali City, you will be welcomed by one of our staff members who will brief you shortly about your Safari in Rwanda and then transfer you to Volcanoes National Park-Rwanda arriving in time for dinner and overnight stay at your lodge.
Accommodation Options: Mountain Gorilla View Lodge / Volcanoes Lodge (Luxury), Le Bambou Gorilla Lodge / La Palme (Mid-range), Muhabura Hotel (Basic).
Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes National Park
After breakfast, you will transfer to the Park headquarters for registration and Gorilla group allocation. You will be briefed shortly about the Gorilla rules and then after this you will be accompanied by your ranger guide into the forest to search for the great Apes. You will hike into Volcano Virunga Hills and green Valley in search for the gorillas and the activity is somehow tiresome but once you meet the Gorillas, you will definitely forget all the hardships you went through to see the Gorillas. After meeting the Gorillas, you will spend with them one hour which will give you an opportunity to take photographs. After this, you will transfer back to your lodge for relaxation. In the evening, you can visit the twin lakes of Iby’wachu Cultural Village for cultural experiences.
Day 3: Transfer back to Kigali
After breakfast and depending on the schedule of your flight, you will be transferred to Kigali city for a short city tour where you can visit the Genocide memorial sites, Local schools and colorful markets or to Kigali International Airport to mark the end of your trip.
