6 Days Luxury Gorilla Trekking Rwanda

Day 1: Arrival in Kigali & Luxury welcome

Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, you’ll be met by a private guide and transferred to your luxury hotel. If time allows, enjoy a guided city tour including the Kigali Genocide Memorial, local markets, and craft shops.

Check in at the luxurious Kigali Serena Hotel or The Retreat by Heaven or Kigali Marriott Hotel and enjoy a relaxing evening with a gourmet dinner.

Day 2: Scenic Transfer to Volcanoes National Park & Check-in at Luxury Lodge

After breakfast, embark on a scenic 2.5-hour drive to Volcanoes National Park. Arrive at your first luxury lodge: either One&Only Gorilla’s Nest, Bisate Lodge, or Sabyinyo Silverback Lodge where you will receive a warm welcome with refreshing drinks and breathtaking views of the Virunga Mountains.
Spend the afternoon unwinding with spa treatments, a forest walk, or a cultural visit to a nearby Iby’Iwacu Cultural Village to learn about Rwandan traditions.
Dinner is served in an intimate setting with a selection of world-class wines.

Day 3: Luxury Lodge Experience & Relaxation

Wake up to the sounds of nature and enjoy a leisurely morning with a private yoga session, spa treatment, or coffee-tasting experience.
Take a guided bird-watching walk or explore the surrounding bamboo forests.
Enjoy an afternoon of relaxation at your lodge, taking in the stunning mountain views from your private terrace before indulging in a fine-dining experience under the stars.

Day 4: Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes National Park

This is the highlight of your safari.

• 5:30 AM: Enjoy an early breakfast before transferring to the Volcanoes National Park headquarters for a briefing.
• 7:00 AM: Begin your guided gorilla trek, which can last between 2-6 hours depending on the location of the gorilla family.
• Once you find the gorillas, spend an unforgettable one hour observing them in their natural habitat.
• Return to your lodge for a well-deserved lunch and some rest.
• In the afternoon, enjoy a spa treatment or take a scenic helicopter tour over the Virunga Volcanoes (optional, at an additional cost).
  Enjoy an elegant celebratory dinner, toasting to your incredible gorilla trekking experience.

Day 5: Transfer to Second Luxury Lodge & Leisure

After a relaxed breakfast, transfer to your second luxury lodge for a different but equally breathtaking experience. You may choose between Bisate Lodge, Sabyinyo Silverback Lodge, or Farm House.

Spend the rest of the day enjoying luxury lodge activities, such as:

• A private nature walk with a conservationist.
• A visit to the Ellen DeGeneres Gorilla Conservation Campus.
• A guided trek to the Musanze Caves, a series of ancient lava tunnels.

End the day with a romantic candlelit dinner with panoramic mountain views.

Day 6: Return to Kigali & Departure

After breakfast, enjoy a leisurely drive back to Kigali. If time allows, enjoy a private Rwandan coffee tour or shop for handmade souvenirs at a local market.
Transfer to Kigali International Airport for your onward flight, departing with unforgettable memories of Rwanda’s luxury and wildlife.
