Fantastic Experience
Dealing with Christopher from the start has been so easy. Any questions we had he got back to us straight away! He explained everything accurately so we weren’t left in the dark! Our experience in Uganda through to Tanzania. Was well organised and included everything we wanted. The guides were good, pickups were on time! Need to make specially mention of our guide “Evans” who took us through the Safari part of our tour. He was so pleasurable, full of information. He worked very hard to make our experience unforgettable. Every morning we would get into a pristine clean car that we spent the night before cleaning. Not as budget friendly as we hoped
My husband and I took a tour with Engabi for our honeymoon. Overall tour itself was great, we did however miss our international flight to the fault of poor planning from our guide to get us to the airport in time. We had been watching the clock since 9am and continually asked our driver if we would make it in time for our 5pm flight. He continually reassured us we would be ok. By the time we got to the airport, they wouldn’t allow us in the terminal because the flight already began boarding. So we lost our trip insurance at that point. If the driver would have been honest when he realized we wouldn’t make it, we could have adjusted our flights. The company said best they can offer is $60 to stay in a hotel for the night. We had to pay an additional $2400 out of pocket to get ourselves home. The company took no credit for us missing our flight even though we were fully completely in their hands to ensure we made it to the airport in time and they failed. We chose this company because it fit our budget better but at the end of the day, we could’ve picked a more upscale journey with the extra money we had to pay to buy new plane tickets. Details on the trip: up until the last day it truly was a trip of a life time. We opted for the Tanzania safari through the Serengeti and then Gorilla and chimp trekking in Uganda. Tanzania was incredible in all ways. We felt safe the whole time, stayed in lovely locations and saw all the animals we could have hoped for thanks to our guides expert knowledge. Uganda was a little tougher, we expected long hours in the car but it was still quite exhausting so be prepared. Chimp trekking was neat and gorilla trekking is unmatched to anything we’ve ever experienced, incredible. Our lodging reservation was switched upon our arrival to Uganda from a lodge that was very close to chimp trekking (10min drive) to a safari tent lodge that was over an hour from the chimp location. This meant we spent a lot more time in the car for 3 days which was incredibly challenging and for something my husband and I felt was not as comfortable an experience. We asked to be switched back to the lodge that had been in the original itinerary and were told no. The lodges outside of that incident were great.

Gorilla Habituation and more
My friends and I traveled to Uganda on a medical mission. We decided to spend a few more days at the end of our trip to hike with the Mountain Gorillas and experience more of Uganda. Christopher handled all the details of our trip like a pro from helping to build the itinerary to selecting the perfect lodge experiences. Christopher is very responsive and a pleasure to do business. We felt completely safe on the trip and had the most amazing time. Hiking with the gorillas was epic and no words can truly explain the incredible experience. If you get a chance to go to Uganda to see the gorillas, do the four hour habituation program instead of the one hour trek. You won’t regret it. Indescribably beautiful and exciting, highly recommended
Christopher from ENGABI organised our 15-day individual trip (3 pers.) perfectly from the first to the last moment. The lodges were super and far exceeded our expectations. We liked Bweza Gorilla Lodge best (such friendly staff and great atmosphere in the rainforest) , Aardvark Safari Lodge (huge rooms, great restaurant, elephants by the bed, hippos and buffalos and warthogs on the evening walk) and Rubalika Safari Lodge (what a welcome, you can't get more African than that!) (each of us in a different order), but Pakuba (antelopes and warthogs in the grounds) and Rwakobo Rock were also great. Of our 3 Africa trips, this was the best, most exciting and most impressive. There is no question that we saw gorillas, chimpanzees, lions, leopards, elephants and much more up close and in abundance. Allan was an excellent driver, knowledgeable guide, experienced guide and friend. The safaris with him were just great, the drives never boring; in the mornings, as an early riser, he made sure we got out too! Allan was always approachable and had an answer to every question. We would especially like to thank Allan for his patience in fulfilling our special requests, which was not always easy! Absolutely amazing experience
From start to finish it was an incredible trip. We did a 9 day tour, starting with Gorilla Trekking in Uganda and afterwards transferring for Safari in Tanzania. Chris made an amazing itinerary and adjusted to our wishes. Responses were always fast. Especially our guide (Vitalis) in Tanzania made this trip unforgettable. He knew the best spots in all National Parks. We always drove from early morning until late afternoon / evening. Vitalis has huge knowledge about nature & animals in the park. He will spot wild life while driving while we didn’t even see once we stopped - it was incredible. Once in a Lifetime Experience
My husband and I did a 4 day and 3 night trip to Uganda with Engabi Tours which was amazing. We did gorilla and golden moneky tracking. Our tour guide, Fred, was very nice and always willing to take his car anywhere to be the most convenient for us. The gorillas in Bwindi were incredible. The hike was very difficult between the terain and the altitude. I would 100% recommend hiring a porter. However, seeing them is one of the most amazing experiences. We also saw the golden monkeys on another excursion. Our trek was long but not as strenuous as the gorillas. These guys are so active and incredibly fun to watch. We stayed at Four Gorillas Lodge. The staff were very friendly and super accommodating. The food was good. Drinking water was provided. It is a beautiful space that is very close to Bwindi. Their credit card machine was down while we were there; so, cash is a must which we did not realize ahead of time. We stayed our last night at Lake Bunyonyi Rock Resort. It is another very nice lodge. The staff and food again were excellent. We loved being right on the water. They do take credit cards here. Keep in mind when traveling to Uganda that it is a third world country. The roads are terrible in some places. Many places require cash, and the wifi is spotty at best. Also, most of the places are solar powered so electricity has to be conserved. However, it is a beautiful country. We are so grateful we got to have this once in a lifetime experience. Chris with Engabi made planning ahead of time pretty easy. I gave him my ideas, and he put together the itinerary perfectly. Tanzanian Safari Experience
Engabi Tours is 2 for 2! Last year, friends and I did the Mountain Gorilla tour in Uganda and it was a once in a lifetime experience. Truly epic. We stayed in touch with Christopher at Engabi Tours and this year did the Serengeti and Ngorogoro Crater, 4 day/3 night safari in Tanzania. Totally different experience but equally legend. Starting with our guide, Vitalis, who was an absolute rock star. His knowledge and experience greatly enhanced the experience. There was no tree, bird, plant, animal or landmark he could not speak to. Human Google. We were up close and intimate with more lions, elephants, giraffe and Buffalo than we could count. We even saw several black rhino, which was pretty rare and special considering their numbers. The other wildlife diversity we saw was too much to list and driving through hundreds of thousands of wildebeest and zebra, in the heart of the great migration, it is simply indescribable. All emotional experiences. The living accommodations were 5 star with friendly service, great amenities and spectacular views. Best Safari At A Very Reasonable Price. A MUST!!!
Absolutely a trip of a lifetime! I don't write reviews often (only when I'm impressed) but if I could rate this 10 out of 5 stars, I would! We did the 4 day/3 night Serengeti and Ngorogoro crater tour. I don't know if we were just incredibly fortunate but there are no words for the intimate wildlife we got to experience. Our tour guide, Vitalis, was A+++! There wasn't one tree, one bird or one observation he couldn't talk about. He even found 4 black rhinos that we were able to see! We recently went with Engabi tours to go gorilla trekking in Bwindi Forest. From the minute I got in contact with Christopher he was so helpful and extremely responsive to all of my questions and concerns. He gave us recommendations for accommodation and where to fry in and out of to make the most of the time we had. Simon our driver was also very kind and knowledgeable throughout our trip. We absolutely loved our trip and world 100% recommend this company.
