Buhoma Lodge
What sets Buhoma apart?
Buhoma Lodge is a beloved destination for those seeking thrilling encounters with gorillas in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Its standout characteristic is its prime location, positioned a mere 5 minutes from the Buhoma trailhead. The lodge may not exude the same opulence as other places to stay at the Buhoma trailhead, such as Volcanoes Bwindi Lodge or Sanctuary Forest Camp, yet it possesses a unique charm and the service is truly remarkable.
Absolutely, similar to all the lodgings in Bwindi, the team goes above and beyond to ensure your comfort before and after your gorilla trek, with complimentary massages and laundry service included. A delightful and inviting lodge that consistently exceeds expectations and seldom lets you down.

The chalets offer a comfortable space, featuring double or twin beds. There is also a family chalet that boasts two inviting bedrooms.
The rustic wood and thatched main building features a cozy dining and lounge area, complete with a restaurant and bar that delights all of our travelers with its exceptional food.
Exciting Experiences at Buhoma Lodge
Even if Bwindi was not home to the mountain gorilla, its seclusion, stunning landscapes, and captivating variety of life would draw in adventurers. However, it is the magnificent great apes that have transformed Bwindi into Uganda’s premier tourist destination.
Beyond the gorillas, Bwindi presents incredible forest walks, where the wildlife astounds with its diversity, extending well beyond just the gorillas. Engaging with the people of Bwindi, discovering their history and connection to the forest, is truly enchanting.
