7 Days Kenya and Tanzania Safari Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer from Nairobi to Masai Mara
Today, you dedicated driver/guide from Engabi Tours and Travel will will pick you up from your hotel, residence, airport, or place of your choice to begin your 7 Days Wildlife safari tour in Kenya and Tanzania. You will head south to the great Masai Mara Park via Kenya’s central highlands passing local farms and communities. You will make stops along the way to enjoy the views of the Great Rift Valley escarpment arriving at your lodge in Masai mara in time for lunch and later dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Full Day in Masai Mara
Today you will wake up early to enjoy your breakfast and then start your unlimited game drives. Later in the day, your guide will take you to the Mara River for a picnic lunch and to see the hippos and crocodiles inhabiting this special border. During the season of the Great Migration (July – October), this is the crossing site where wildebeests and zebras by the thousands enter the park from the neighboring Serengeti. You may also choose to go for an optional early morning hot air balloon safari over the park before you proceed with your game drive or even choose to visit the local Maasai village for a cultural experience.
Day 3: Transfer from Masai Mara to Serengeti National Park
Today you will wake up early for breakfast and then start your journey to the Kenya-Tanzania Border at Isebania from where you will cross from Masai Mara to Serengeti National Park. You will arrive in Serengeti in time for lunch and an evening game drive. Dinner and overnight at the lodge
Day 4: Full Day in Serengeti National Park
Today you will enjoy several morning and afternoon game drives in Serengeti with lots of animals to see including the Wildebeests, lions, Buffaloes and Zebras among others. The Serengeti is home to perhaps the largest number of lions anywhere but we’ll also be tracking for cheetah, zebra, giraffe, gazelle, eland, impala, hippo, and the curious and downright amusing warthog.
Day 5: Transfer to Ngorongoro Conservation Area and Game drive in the Crater
Today you will will wake up for an early breakfast and then transfer to Ngorongoro Conservation Area arriving in time for a game drive in the crater the largest intact volcanic caldera on the planet and later a picnic lunch. During the game drive, you will be able to see big cats, elephants, rare black rhinos and even dense birdlife like pink flamingoes on Lake Magadi. Dinner and overnight at the lodge
Day 6: Transfer to Tarangire National Park and Game Drive
After an early breakfast, you will be transferred from Ngorongoro-Karatu to Tarangire National park for a full day game drive. Ranked as the third largest park in Tanzania, the Tarangire is home to a large population of elephant the ancient giant Baobab trees, also known as the “Tree of Life”,
You arrive in time for a full day Game drive, lunch and later check in to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 7: Drive to Arusha or Kilimanjaro International Airport
After breakfast at the lodge, you will start the journey to Arusha from where your guide will drop you off at the Kilimanjaro international airport which will bring the tour to an end.
