How to get to Bwindi impenetrable national park : Bwindi impenetrable national park is situated in the southern west region of Uganda that is 576 kilometers from Entebbe the main entry point into Uganda and approximately 530 kilometers from Kampala the capital city of Uganda. Using road transport you can use both public and private means, using public means of road transport there is many bus companies such as Gaga bus, which offer daily transport from Kampala to Butogota town. From Butogota town there is no public means of transport to the park, you get a taxi and drive 17 kilometers to buhoma headquarters of Bwindi impenetrable national park. When going to trek in Nkuringo sector of the park there is no public car services that is why is best to hire to hire a vehicle from Kisoro town.

Using private means of transport is the best choice when it comes to road means of transport, you can either hire a van or use a car offered by your Travel Company or agent. Using private vehicle you get to enjoy your comfort and high level of privacy which encountering scenic views along the way.

Kampala- Ntungamo-Rukungiri-Kihihi-Buhoma.

This route is the easiest and most convenient route of 390 kilometers to Bwindi impenetrable national park, this route starts from Kampala city to buhoma sector through Ntungamo, rukungiri and kihihi.

Kampala-Kabale-Ruhija-Buhoma.

This route starts from Kampala city through kabale, Ruhija leading to buhoma sector

Kampala-Kabale-Nkuringo.

This route starts from Kampala, it is a distance of 105 kilometers a drive of about 4 hours on a mountainous murram road from kabale town. Tourists using this route normally spend nights in Kisoro town. From Kisoro you drive on a meandering road of 35 kilometers a 1-2 hour’s drive to the Nkuringo sector of Bwindi impenetrable national park.
