Regarding Kibale National Park: All About To the south of Fort Portal town in western Uganda, Kamwenge and Kabarole districts contain Kibale national park. How to get there;
either via tour agent/company or self-drive, you can reach Kibale Forest National Park. From Kampala / Entebbe international airport via Kampala-Fort gateway (Tarmac road), it takes around 5-6 hour’s driving (340km) then 1-2 hours flight to Kasese airstrip utilizing Aerolink or bar aviation. Several gates allow one to enter the park.

Particularly for those who enjoy birds, Kibale National Park boasts approximately 370 species of birds of which 60% are identified as forest birds. From March to May is the ideal period for birding in Kibale national park; from September to November, which are wet months when food and fruits abound in the forest, is the next best time. Among the birds are Great Blue Turacco, Green breasted pitta, African pitta, Abyssinian ground thrust, Crowned Eagle, Black Capped apalis, Collared aplis.
